mIQ Persona
mIQ Persona measures operator and maintenance technician performance with data; it creates profiles, recommends specialized training for areas of deficiency, and provides suggestions during tasks. It reduces errors, develops skills, and aligns learning with production goals.
Creating Personalized Educational Content from MES Data
The system creates a performance profile for each operator using data obtained from the MES (operator-based production speed, quality defect counts, downtime reasons, etc.). This profile reveals the areas in which the operator struggles or works more slowly on certain machines or processes. Based on these findings, training documents, videos, or guidelines are automatically recommended for the relevant topics. For example, if 5% of the parts produced by an operator in the last month had quality defects, a training module titled “Quality Control and Measurement Techniques” could be assigned.
Performance Tracking of Operators and Maintenance Personnel (Identifying Strengths and Weaknesses)
KPIs (production volume, cycle time compliance, error rate, machine downtime response time, etc.) defined for operators and maintenance personnel are monitored regularly. mIQ Persona highlights strengths (e.g., fast part assembly) and areas for improvement (e.g., missing errors in quality control) based on these metrics. On the dashboard, each person's strengths are marked in green, while areas requiring improvement are marked in red. This allows operators and maintenance personnel to evaluate their own performance, while managers can provide objective feedback.
Providing Real-Time Suggestions During Tasks
While the operator is performing production tasks, the system monitors real-time data in the background. If a deviation or improvement opportunity is detected in the operator's process, a suggestion is immediately sent. For example, if the assembly time exceeds the target, the system can display a warning on the machine interface stating, “You are currently progressing slowly; notify the maintenance team if necessary.” Or, if the operator makes the same mistake twice in a row, a suggestion appears on the screen saying, “Attention: Don't forget to perform this check at this stage.” This real-time coaching aims to reduce errors and accelerate learning during production.
Aligning Educational Content with Production Goals
Traditional training programs mostly cover general topics, but with mIQ Persona, training is directly linked to production targets. For example, if the company's goal is to reduce the error rate to below 2%, the Persona module plans specific training programs for operators who make the most errors (e.g., new quality control methods). Therefore, each training activity focuses on improving a measurable production metric. At the end of the training, the effectiveness of the training is also evaluated by monitoring the decrease in the error rate of the relevant operator.
Creating a Personal Development Map with MES Data
A progress map is created for each operator, showing their progress over time. This map visually displays how the operator's scores in various skills have changed on a monthly or quarterly basis. For example, a trend such as “Source Creation Skill: January 70% → March 85%.” The chart also shows which training courses the operator has taken and how their performance has changed afterwards. This data provides concrete support for evaluation meetings with employees and forms the basis for personalized career development plans.
Personalized Education Experience
mIQ Persona aims to provide training in a format and at a level appropriate for each employee. For example, interactive e-learning modules may be recommended for young, tech-savvy operators, while more advanced technical documentation may be provided for experienced foremen. The system prioritizes training materials based on assessment scores. In addition, different language options or visually-rich content can be offered for employees with low literacy levels. This makes training accessible and understandable for everyone.
A More Effective Learning Environment for Operators and Maintenance Personnel
The module incorporates mechanisms that encourage operators and maintenance personnel to learn while also suggesting content. Using gamification elements, employees who complete training can earn badges and points; friendly competition tables can be created between departments (e.g., a list of operators who have increased their quality score the most). This approach contributes to employees adopting the module and actively using it. Furthermore, the learning experience is continuously improved through feedback mechanisms such as “Was this suggestion helpful?”
Fewer Mistakes, More Efficiency with MES-Based Training
When the mIQ Persona module is implemented, concrete benefits such as reduced operator errors in production and increased quality and efficiency are achieved. The system proactively resolves issues by converting every improvement opportunity into a training action. For example, if production loss due to operator errors is 5% in a given period, implementing the Persona module and its regular training/recommendation mechanism can reduce this loss to 2% within a few months. This positively impacts production targets and increases employee confidence (“I made a mistake, the system helped me, and I learned”).
